got to http://www.cnn.com and let them know that you are not willing to sacrifice freedom for percieved (and unobtaible) security.

So far we are at: yes 60%  no 40%

The Sheeple are winning!

Done.

I can't believe people are willing to give up their rights for the sake of convenience.
It makes me sick.

Would you be willing to sacrifice privacy for speed at airport check-in?
Yes     60%  39147 votes
No     40%  25838 votes

on a side note, if you choose to fly you choose to abide by the airlines rules. they can safeguard you by violating you if they want. it is a private industry.

Done.  However, the question was privacy vs. speed not freedom vs. security.

Voted,
believe it or not but there is no right to privacy, at least in the bill of rights.  Maybe in your state there is a right to privacy but on a federal level there is no such thing.

OK, guys, lets all have a cup of Tension Tamer tea and calm down.  We're not voting on the Bill of Rights, just airport security.  Someone would have to define what privacy (or its lack) means.  The question as stated is too vague.

Frankly, I still think the best solution is to require EVERY airline passenger to carry a KA-BAR and a 1911A1.  Don't think there'd be any more incidents after that.
