Does this happen alot lol?
I am a lineman as well and never heard of people shooting the line down. I have found some dents in transformers and OCRs that must have been .22lr because they never made it through though.

As a dispatcher working a control center tonight, this would piss me off. Hope he enjoys a big repair bill. Retard.

Yeah I knocked out power with a air rifle 20 years ago when I built my home in the country. It was at night and a decent fireworks show. I blamed it on some neighbor kids, they said don't worry, happens all the time...lol

I know of a person that may have centered his AR sights on the chest of a bird sitting on a power line in front of his rural property. Sight height over bore may have had an effect on point of impact. He knew absolutely nothing when a technician asked him about a charred bird foot wrapped around one of the ends of a severed power line.

My BIL works for AT&T.  He says that they constantly get lines shot in the "hood".
