I got an email from a fellow Arfcommer, "Tangeant", he is currently at Bagdad International.  He said the DHL cargo plane took a SAM hit and IFE'd.  It was a nasty hard landing but the crew survived and the plane is a mess.  I am waiting for pics, it may take a while.

What a screwed up place, maybe the Army will try and "arrest" somebody or some other semi-retarded thing.

The DUers have a hero because somebody didn't use 'excessive force' in an interrogation.

Pictures been on CNN and Fox all day…

Plane was hit in the left wing outside the engine pod. They have pictures of the plane in the air with flames coming out the wing and after a hard landing.

Why is it that for 6 months we have nothing like this, and now everyone and his brother has a Igla and is shooting them off right and left?

Having worked for Flying Tigers (rotor blades out, coffins in) our planes serviced 'Nam and routinly landed in Cleveland with bullet holes.(1967)
Now that the Iraq war is "over", the enemy are raising their heads and nothing is really secure.
