Some time ago I read how mounted cavalry (horseback) was used effectively against Taliban tanks in Afghanistan.

I can't remember the sources of this information, and I would greatly appreciate any help in finding sources/example of the use of mounted horsemen against tanks.

We had SF guys using horses for transportation in the early days, but I dont think anyone was mounting a wild horseback charge against T-72s.
