Will be traveling west with kids and the grand parents, need to find a safe place to stay the night, decent food is always a plus.

Suburbs of LR is gonna be a little stretch for the little ones and elderly.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

There's a fantastic BBQ place at exit 183 IIRC. Havent stayed there, but Ive ate there at the bbq place a few times after dark and it seemed like a decent enough area. You should be fairly safe there. Its far enough from Memphis and LR to not have a resident dindu population I would think.

We have traveled all over TOLA, NM, & COLO over the last 20 years. We have always had good luck with the Best Western Chain of Hotels. Not familiar with that particular area though.

I agree with the first post, Lonoke is a good place. Do not stay at Protho Junction right outside North Little Rock.

Looks like we'll be having dinner at Nick's BBQ and staying at BW Lonoke.

Thanks everyone.
