+1. I don't understand all this talk about ammo shortages and whatnot. Ammoman has had plenty of 5.56 at the same price for while now.

My advice is to go with Black Hills reman 55 gr SP. You can get it in 50 rd boxes for $12.00 each, cheaper if you buy in quantity. It's brass cased, loaded into once fired Lake City brass. It's good shit, equal to new manufactured ammo.

It's not as cheap as Wolf, but it's a damn good buy considering what you are getting, provided your main purpose is general blasting, varmints, etc. If you're gonna use it for personal defense, I'd consider moving up to a more hefty Black Hills load, like the 68 or 75 gr OTM.

You aren't gonna find quality brass cased ammo for Wolf prices.

He is keeping a log for the ATF to monitor how much ammo I and Mr. Clean buy.

I think Eric and my UPS driver are on the same team... Seems like after you buy10-20 cases you should get one free like the sammich places do.

My ups guy hates me I think. I just got in 3 crates of 308 s/a and 3k of 7.62r and some 8mm on clips thrown in.
I always tip him $5 -$10 though. That shit be heavy ya know.

I try to avoid ordering any large quantities of ammo during July and August because I like my UPS driver. LOL. So I spare him having to unload crates of ammo in the hottest weather. During the months of March, April and September, October.....he better watch out though. Those are "buy like crazy ammo months".

I havent gotten around to ordering any ammo online in bulk quantities yet.

But my local Bi-Mart had American Eagle 20 round boxes on sale for 1.99 a box. I bought all they had

Yeah, it has been hot as hell lately, so I go help. The mailman really hates SG too.

1150 fps . Some of their other stuff is good though. Its just their 10mm that sucks, and some of their .40 is questionable.

Yeah, but its easier on my guns frame.

Depends, do you like your ups guy or is he the type to report you as a terrorist fro ordering so much ammo? Mine is really nice and helpful.

Then just shoot .40 cause thats about what your getting. Your gun is made for 10mm no? I know mine is.
Link Posted: 8/17/2005 7:19:29 PM EDT
Yeah, its made for 10mm.. But this gun would be very difficult to replace if I cracked something.. Id not shoot it before I shot full power loads in this one. My 10mm Witness is for the full power stuff.
