Noticed this plug connector hanging from under the truck, behind the front bumper on the drivers side.  I first thought it was a fog light plug.  Checked all light connections and function and everything works and is where it should be.  After closer examination, it appears to be a sensor or an activator of some sort.  I cannot locate the plug that this would go to, however, Im not exactly sure what it is Im looking for anyways.

Anyone here have a Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon with a similiar configuration you can look at and follow to see where this connects, or a mechanic that knows what this connects too?

Thats what I was thinking too.  But doesnt that plug into the block/manifold?  Im an old smallblock guy.  These newer model 5.3L have me thrown for a loop.  It does appear to be a part of the wiring harness under the front bumper that has the fog light running off of it.

Any idea as to where this thing would connect up to?

Thanks for the help.

Looks like an outside temp sensor, probably plugs in near the center support in front of the condenser.

It is an ambient temp sensor.  If you cannot find the spot it "plugs" in to, then simply ziptie the thing up inside the bumper somewhere.

As stated above, its an ambient air temp sensor not a coolant temp, I should have been more clear. It should be located behind the grill on the core support.

Ah ok.  Gotcha!    I'll climb under it tomorrow and see if I can find the location that it goes into now that I know Im not actually looking for a plug connector.

Thanks again EVERYONE!

Looks like an extra plug. Go ahead and snip it off.
