Totalitarian regimes never allow the citizenry to be armed. Except for Isreal, all other middle east nations have restricted firearms possession to officers of the state. My pop was raised in Iraq and migrated here long ago because he saw that things, and people, were pretty much out of control (I'm speaking in general terms here - not everybody's bad). He's consistently said that once the rights/fact of firearms possession are lost, you've lost all of your rights to the benevolence of the state, if not all at once. And you know how it goes with absolute power.[(:)][BD][>(][(:)] Try www.countrywatch.com for some general information into this issue, or any other, for any place in the world. [heavy][USA]
