I've had two sets of el cheapos, and neither had lasted more than a year.  I don't need a $300 set, just something that is decent, and will last. I've been looking at the Creative Gigaworks T40 Series 2, but I've never heard of them, and don't know if they are worth a damn or not.  They'll just be used for music, and movies, no gaming.

I have a Boston set up, works nice, has subwoofer.

I have both logitech z323 and Z313 (one set on my wife's PC, the other in the TV in the bedroom), they both work quite well (2.1), decent bass, was around $50-$70 depending on which set. I've had them both for a number of years with zero problems.

I was looking at the Logitech stuff, just wasn't sure as when I hear "Logitech" my first thought isn't along audio lines.  I'll go back and check'em out again.
