I have a 2005 dodge ram 5.9 cummins.  Its a work truck.  My muffler is all rotted out.  The rust went right through it.  I can get a basic aftermarket exhaust from autozone for 400 bucks.  Should I spend alittle extra money and get a 'performance exhaust'?  If so what brand?  Its a work truck so I really don't want something loud.

Over 4" and it gets very loud without a resonator (I mean so loud it hurts your ears in the cab).

ETA: with stock turbo it might be bearable.

Whatever you get, make sure it's stainless steel or you'll be replacing it again in 2 years.  Banks makes a very high quality stainless steel exhaust kit in the $500 range.
