Over 4" and it gets very loud without a resonator (I mean so loud it hurts your ears in the cab).
ETA: with stock turbo it might be bearable. |

Whatever you get, make sure it's stainless steel or you'll be replacing it again in 2 years. Banks makes a very high quality stainless steel exhaust kit in the $500 range.
