Sounds like your mouse is croaking. PS/2 or USB? In either case, shut down the computer, unplug the mouse, and plug it back in and out several times, to make sure all the contacts are working. Then turn back on. If it still fails, get a new one.

Try the mouse on another computer. If it still doesn't work, suspect the mouse; if it works on another computer suspect some driver/config issue on your side.
by 'wheel' i assume you mean that rolling thing between the mouse buttons. |

PS/2. I already tried the unplug and reboot thing several times. still isn't working. They're cheap, I'll just go buy a new one.

Man I was hoping I was going to get to tell him to clean his balls. But no. I can tell him to clean his wheel but that's no fun now is it.
Mice die all the time. Lock at the logitech optical mice they are great and no mouse balls to ever clean again. |

I just replaced the mouse with a new optical PS/2 mouse and loaded the new drivers. The wheel still doesn't work right. One improvement though: when you click the wheel, you can do the fast sroll thing. Any other suggestions?

I don't know what I did, but it just started working properly. I think it was that final string of cuss words and the bolt slamming shut on the AR that did it.
