I have a cheap-o version of one of these scopes:

And since I am upgrading my A2 upper to a flattop upper, I really won't need this thing for my AR anymore.  It's actually a good little scope for a Leapers -- it kept its zero fairly well, or as well as could be expected for a $40 scope.

Anyway, I figured I would do something with it, and I want to put it on my Ruger 10/22 carbine.  The tube diameter is a weird dimension, though (1 5/16" or 33.34mm) so Wal-Mart scope rings are out.  I obviously can't use the carry handle fastening system that is on the scope because the Ruger only has a simple Picatinny/Weaver rail on it.  Good news about that is that the carry handle mount can be removed by taking out the 4 phillips screws and all that is left is a straight tube of an odd diameter.  How could I go about retrofitting this scope to fit the rail of the 10/22?  Is it a lost cause?
