I recently acquired a rifle and need help with getting more information and possible appraisal of worth. You’ll have to forgive my lack of knowledge with bolt actions, so please, guys, bear with me.

- J.P. Sauer & Sohn.
- Mauser action.
- Chambered for 7.64 Brennique (Sp? - at work; don’t have the gun in front of me).
- “ Quick release”  Zeiss fixed 4X
- Commercial - non military
- I would estimate it was made in Germany in the 1930-40’s.
- Used, but in very good condition.

I know that really isn’t enough to go on.

How could I find out more about this rifle? Are there any good online sources. The majority I find are in German. Serial Number listings? I don’t know. Help me out guys. Where do I start?

Thanks for ANY help,
Coal-Cracker
