As some of you know I work for a plastic surgeon here in Hawaii. Long story short, there is enough exotic girls here willing to do this and there is more then enough money to start internet credit card pay service right now. I would be moved from my curent position in the organization to the head of this new company. I would then make porn films and sell it on the web, like what most of you guys are buying curently. This is real, not made up, I am not drunk, and wonder if this is a good buissness opertunity, or am I headed for a eventuall life of crack hoores and a devorce. I will not be a model, or performing in the films. I would be doing the hiring and interviews, maybe directing, but not touching any of the girls. Any insites? Would this make money? Or am I going to be in charge of a new company that starts to sink not swim? Any advice would be nice. No I will not post pics of the girls. Maybe I'll give donation memberships later depending on what happens.

Thats a big assumption about everyone's morals around here isnt it? And no, I dont think its a good idea. Your life will spiral downward into a world of shit. |
You'll get a lot more answers if you post (appropriate) pics.
Edited to add that porn is a huge industry. Big bucks. Lots of drugs. Mob connections? |
AIDS
VD Suicide Drug Habits Low Lifes Social Outcast Erdoded Morals Yup, that's a industry standard easy to live up to. JMHO: Stay away, it sounds like a kids wet dream that would turn into a nightmare. |

No kidding |

Just as long as the job description doesn't include "fluffer"....
I don't think I would do it. I think you would see the 'underbelly' of porn, so to speak, that would not be something most people would want to experience. |
I agree with Lumpy - once you've entered that arena, you'll have a tough time getting out. What will you say on your concurrent job interview with a respectable company. "Yes Mr. Eisner, I used to work in the adult film industry. But I believe my experience can offer much to Disney"
As sgtar15 has so eloquently put it, "NO SMILEY FOR YOU!" |
Yes, please spend your time contributing to the decay of our society.

Jeeze ,what happened to the casting couch? Don't do it man, don't touch it with a bargepole, it all going to end badly. /Phil |

Ok, here goes my one and only experince with the pron industry.
A friend of mine from way back in childhood (cub scouts, our dads had been in the Marine Corps together during the Korean war) wanted to get into the film / Hollywood industry since he was in 8th grade. He graduated from high school and went to the Pasadena School od Design on a full scholarship. He was going to be an industrial designer, whatever the fuck that is. After his second year he said screw it, left Pasadena and applied in a UCLA film studies program, more for the technical side of the industry. After his first year at UCLA he started dating this really hot (but strange) model. She was doing cheesy modeling jobs, and to make money she was doing pron videos in the valley. One day he asked her if she could get him a job, she told him no problems, and within a week he was involved with making pron videos. After 7 or 8 months of doing this he dropped out of school and started doing pron full time. One time during the week I called him and told him I was going to drive down to LA so we could hook up for dinner. We went out and that's when he told me what he was doing. I was like "wow, you get to fuck pron stars". hehe. He asked me if I wanted to tag along, so I said sure. We ended up in this nice suburban neighborhood at a really nice house. Went inside and the first thing was the entire house was a movie set. There were some people doing some "rehearsing" in one of the bedrooms. We ended up staying there for about 3 hours. I can tell you that 99.9% of pron stars (the girls) are pretty skanky. Yes, the hot ones are just that, hot. However, for every 1 hot chick there are at least 20 fucking dogs waiting to take it in the ass. My friend told me he was making pretty good money and having fun. I left and didn't see or hear from him for over two years. Out of the blue I get a call and he is asking me for money. I told him I would have to think about it - and I called up a couple of our high school friends to ask WTF was going on. It seems that he got caught up in "the life" of a pron producer/director/camaraman/goffer and had blown any money he had, plus his house, car and anything else he owned on coke. I didn't hear anything else about him for a year. Then out of nowhere a guy claiming to be him called my house (I was living with my wife at the time) and gave my wife a hard time. She got scared. So I called up one of our high school friends and asked WTF was up with him and I was told that he had skipped town owing a lot of people a lot of money. About a year after that one of our friends called and said that he had been killed, that police suspected foul play. I called the LAPD to let them know about the call. I had a detective from the LAPD come to my house to interview me about the phone calls and what was said. They haven't caught his killer, the detective is 100% sure that his ex-girlfriend (the pron star) was involved. When the police ended the investigation they figured that he had been killed for not paying money back to the person who was owed it. His case has been profiled on LAPD, Life on the Street. My advice? Run far, far away. Don't look back. |

WHAT???? People pay for PORN??? When did this happen???
Do what you want there are no wrong decisions. Only Choices. MT |
A lot of money can be made from the misery, suffering and desperate choices of stupid people willing to do anything for money,,,,except get a damned decent job. Do you want to be the guy selling souls to the devil? Porn is a nasty industry, it makes money but it destroys lives. Would you sell cancer if you could package it in an appealing box?
Fixed it for ya. |
Im somewhat doubt if there would be much money in it. There is alot of porn out there I dont pay for any, I only know one person who does (a girl I know, until I shown her how to get free porn).
I honestly think it might not be a good idea. |
I'm sure you would make plenty of money. If helping to contribute to the worst of mankind doesn't bother you, I say go for it.
I wouldn't do it. |
Take the job and get a "I got crabs" t-shirts at Joe's Crab Shack.
I'll get you an I got Crabs bumper sticker if you want one. |
Double fix. |

Working in the porn industry is like becoming a drug pusher and swearing you will never touch drugs. For most, eventually the temptation will catch you someday when your guard is down and you will find yourself hooked. The end result is typically catastropic.
Eitherway, it's not a lifestyle I would choose since it lacks stability and simply just too damn stressful. All of us at one point in our lives must chose standard of living over money. I have simply chosen standard of living. Tj |
If your under 30, go for it.
Interviews huh? Call me if you need an assistant. |
Go for it! You may not be able to touch the girls, but you'll damn sure see them naked in order to approve them.... Unless you're running bottom-line smut. In which case if they have a sexual organ, they're approved. Those one's you could touch.
stuff it in her ass, take moving pictures and post them on the net!
Yes you will get a devorce if you do this. |
Most of the industry is dirty and nasty, unless of course you are making BDSM movies; theses are clean wholesome training aids.
If you can use the experience to make some money and can get out before you start falling go for it. |
Dude, two words...MIDGET PORN. LOL, my buddy and I have been joking about that since college. That reminds me, I haven't brought it up in the past 5 years, I gotta mention it to him again.
I say it is worth it if you get free blow
Though honestly do what you think you would be happy and proud of doing. |
Only if you consider drugs, STDs, and the like to be a spiral downward. Some people are quite happy rolling in manure. |
+1. Business failures are almost always based on wrong assumptions.

Gotta be honest wiht you guys, if I was single with no kids, I be on this in a heartbeat. Guess it's just the perv in me. TXL |

I dont know ANYONE who pays for porn anymore.
One thing I do know is I wouldnt/couldnt do it. I have watched men whom I consider good faithful husbands/fathers cheat on their spouse do to opportunity. If a good man puts himself in a position to have sex over and over I think someday it will wear him down. Maybe not today or next week but one day. My first rule is to not put myself in that position. I dont consider myself weak willed but I am a man. When I was younger I liked to PARTY and I owned carpet cleaning company. I got to know a few people that had porn or skin as a product. Everyone has carpet. Case one: He worked as a doorman then Managed a strip club. He ended up devorced and changed for the worse. I am sure he would still be happy if he was still married. He turned into a sleazy guy that I partied with but didnt trust like I once did. It was the job that turned him. He drives a nice car and bangs hot chicks that steal from him and he is not what I call happy. Case two: Porn book store/ peep shows owner. He lives in a HUGE house and drives high-end cars and has 3 wives in 10 years. All the wives were plastic type but still hot. I would not trade lives with him for all the tea in china. I wouldnt take the chance. |
Why not take the moral high road and say no. I would really love to raise my kids in a place where porn played a smaller role in life. If more people said not to the porn industry then maybe it could happen.
There are quite a few jobs that pay well and help make our society stronger. not just bring us down. Porn may have always been with us but that does not mean that it is a good thing. And yes you will end your relationship with your wife if you do this. Butch |
I should have started this thred with a poll. I'm sure the bad idea tack would be substantually higher then the good idea.
While I beleive pRon to always be a destructive influence in society, I beleive its PARTICULARLY destructive to families. So I'll give ya props for that one. |
You sound very gay. You're about to offer to Email naked pictures of yourself to us, aren't you? THAT's what this is all about, isn't it? |
Lumpy had it right in the first reply. Do it, and you'll earn what you get from it. Think about that.....what do you think you'll get? Wrecked life? You will have earned it.
No good can come of this....run away.
Edited to add.... If you dance with the Devil, the Devil doesn't change....you do. |
In all seriousness:
"Dance with the Devil and the Devil don't change; the Devil changes you." |
OK. Here is my advice for what it's worth. First, the morals issue is for each to decide. I make no judgements there. I guess some people could work in the porn industry and not have it effect them personally. I have to say I believe it will have a personal effect on any relationships you might have though. Consider how a wife is going to feel when she takes her clothes off in front of you and wonders how she "stacks up" (what a great double entendre). But that isn't the real concern in my opinion. I sense that you are being guided into this from an outside force. It is easy. Big money. No special skills. Hmmm. Ever wonder who gets arrested if a company gets busted for something? It isn't the cameraman. Why would you be the big boss when you know nothing about this business? That would worry me. If someone posted here and said they were single, VERY uninterested in drugs, and were going to try and start a business in the industry it might be an OK idea. For a married guy being offered the position of Boss. I gotta wonder WTF? |

i agree |
