open it, both of my interceptors have a large tag with the military nomenclature and the point-blank logo.

Looks like the Whistler2000 from Ramco.

Junk. It might stop a BB that's fired out of someone's farting asshole.

Needless to say getting this for only a hundred bucks is sort of suspicious? It supposedly has plates too. The only thing still in my corner is that the seller has no idea about military gear.

I asked the guy to give me the specific numbers on the tag and inside the vest on the panels and he is now being vague. he said "they all match". He then writes "i found it at a grage sale and the people say it is new" I am thinking its a soldier or rear echelon type dude trying to sell one that fell off the back of a humvee or whatever. Shady. I wrote him back asking for the specific set of numbers on the white or OD green tag inside the vest. If i dont get an answer soon i am not buying this.

PS the price is at 80 bucks right now.

its obviously either

1. scam and stolen.

2. some guy who knows nothing about vests and either got it at a garage sale or from someone else.

3. Maybe a ex-contractor one? I read a little on the vest controversy and they were sold to alot of companys for contractors usage.

I guess we will have to wait and see what the guy does tonight with my email asking for the NSN and anything else on the tag. I have a list from asite with all the serialed info and whats good and bad etc.

This guy is a established ebay dork who sells stamps mostly since 2001. I am beginning to believe the garage sale story . I told him the bare essentials of the Interceptor controversy and pray he doesnt stick me and try to raise the price when he looks up interceptor on google and see what they go for.I hate waiting on emails. I will update when this guy gets back to me.

If he's being that secretive about it, I'd also be afraid that he is just selling the carrier without the Kevlar panels inside.  The woodland covers will get more and more common as they are replaced with the ACU patterned covers.

I just took a quick look on EBay.

Any chance that this is an Airsoft Interceptor vest and the seller may not (or may), know that it is?

Or maybe it is the real thing and he thinks it's an Airsoft vest?

Prices range from $69.00-$79.00 so that would fit in with his asking price.

after carefully looking at this dudes ebay history i see that he is a huge stamp seller. that he has a perfect rating for all intents and that he has been on ebay since 2001. that makes me trust him somewhat. i am left wondering if its an airsoft vest like someone said above. i am still waiting for an email with the tag contents. if its an actual interceptor with kevlar and isnt coming back with the date ranges of the stolen vests then i will buy it and most likely resell it. update tomorrow.

Nonconformist: it is supposedly new and even if its slightly used i prefer paying less then a 100 bucks over 1,000. Just my two cents dude.

Damn,I got an email from the guy where he is trying to back out now that he has done some researc. He thinks i am the defense department trying to sucker him apparently. I assured him i am not and told him to check the numbers on the vest and call Point Blank and then to get back to me but that if all turns out well i am definitely interested. I sure as shit do not want him to find out its okay then sell it for 600 or something to someone else.

Okay he just emailed me back after looking into it on his own and he says the tag is missing with the size but it has one saying point blank blah blah NSN.blah blah.... The date is 2002 he said. The guy is now worried it was some soldiers and he will get nailed if he sells it to me. Ugh i just want it for my gear collection and am getting annoyed. What would you guys do in my shoes?
