Ok so for Christmas this Year my girlfriend buys me a cell phone. It is a Boost Mobile pay as you go.

I have mentioned before that I was thinking of getting a prepaid/ pay as you go cell phone just to have.
I knew I wouldnt use it much so I was planning to look for something that I could Put some time on it and leave it alone.

Then here comes the shitty part about the Boost mobile.
It seems that I have to pay one dollar a day to have the walkie talkie feature. I also pay .35 cents a day for Web.
I hate walkie talkie, but dont really mind web.
The thing is I have to pay for it even if I dont use it.

The way I see it is that I am going to have to pay about 40.00 a month just on shit I dont care about. Plus regualr calls are 10-20 Cents a minute depending on Time of day and some other stuff

I dont want to get rid of it because I dont want to hurt my girlfirends feelings, but I dont want to pay a bunch for a phone that doesnt fit my needs

Positive, walkie talkie is charged on the first use for a daily fee of $1. The web services fee is a daily recurring fee that you have to go into your account to turn off. If you never use walkie talkie you will not be charged.

If you do not answer you should not be charged. And yes you will only be burning 35 cents a day. You should also go sign up for Boost VIP on the website they offer rebates depending on your usage. Also remember that your balance only carries for 90 days so you must re-boost in that time frame.
