I will be needing a few parts for my vintage 1976 mercury outboard (9.8 hp) engine, and was wondering where the best place to shop for parts would be.

I'd go to a local Mercury dealer parts department.  That's where I go.

I haven't ordered from Mercury Parts Express.

But they probably don't go back that far.
