Uh... No!

I didnt see a single point where she proved that gun control works. All she did was show how people may be adversly affected by gun control and hanging with the wrong crowd.

Yup, cause those kids who had been shot were shot by law-abiding citizens who went out and bought their weapons legally, right?

Give me a break

she's educated becuase of her "feelings" typical liberal commie.

She's right. The ones who need education are those who oppose common-sense gun controls.

Such as using microstamping technology so shell casings can be easily traced to the gun that fired them. And then bangers will just resort to revolvers that don't leave shell casings. Or... use illegal guns without microstamps

Such as putting an expiration date on gun permits so they are not good ad infinitum, as is the case across most of New York State. That way its more difficult for those inner city yute to get their carry permits that they all bother to go to the trouble for.

Such as cracking down on the minority of gun dealers who flout lawsSo you're saying we should enforce laws already on the books? and requiring background checks on their employees.

I was in the Bahamas 2 weeks ago on business and if you are not aware it is illegal for a private Bahamian citizen to own a gun. I was having lunch with my customer and asked how that was working. He told me that the crime rate in the Nassau County hood surpasses that of Miami. That girls parents are just setting her up to be another liberal victim and blame sociaties problems yet again on the gun. She should have asked how many in her audience were here legally

Row upon row of young people stood in somber testimony to the deadly
havoc guns wreak on the streets of New York and other cities.

NY needs to decide if it is one of the safest cities in the US, or one where "guns wreak deadly havok". Can't have it both ways.

I'm not even going to dignify this with a response.

The poor are going to continue to be poor until they learn to take responsibility for themselves and their communities.  Gangland killings in the Bronx are not caused by NRA members in suburbia.  They are caused by people in the Bronx who make bad decisions in life.  If you want to do something productive, don't protest in D.C., how about helping your local police round up the criminals.  Oh wait, that would be "snitching" and uncool.

Amen to above comment.

Stupid article by, for and about stupid people.

NY and NYC have some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country, and yet they still have tons of crime. Obviously gun control works.....

Should ask that same question she asked in rural Texas and see how many people stand up....
Link Posted: 5/1/2009 2:24:25 PM EDT
She should have asked how many knew someone that had died of Aids. Then asked how many knew someone who had died from drugs.

Then finished up by asking how many knew someone that had been in prison.

Stupid bitch.

There are some good comments there, most everything that needed to be said, was said by someone else.

And fuck these cunts trying to shame people into silence and make them feel responsible for something they aren't.

"I want everybody here to look," Kristine said to the NRA supporters. "We don't need to be educated."

Everything you need to know...

"So Kristine asked the mostly black and Latino kids in her audience to stand up if they knew someone who had been shot to death. About 200 rose to their feet, probably three-quarters of the crowd."

So, essentially, Kristine is attempting to highlight the fact that black and latino neighborhoods - in this case the Bronx - are hotbeds of crime and violence, right?

Ya, well, no shit.

Maybe she should ask kids to stand up if they have two parents at home who help them with their studies after sharing a meal as a family.

How many would stand up then?
