I really doubt the WAC will let you in free.
I pay nearly $3500 a year to them in table rent, and I still have to buy a $25 membership for me and a $10 one for the wife. I think if my kid was any older than 14 months, they'd want a peice of her, also.

I'm ashamed that there weren't more of us there to counter protest Ceasefire and the Million Momers.

I only saw one fellow AR15er outside with me waving our banner of truth in the faces of the antis.

It was only 95 minutes of time to spend facing down the sheep and trying to get our message of truth across to them.  By the time their marching wound down only one of them dared to look into my eyes past my sign and my outstreched copy of John Lotts book More guns, Less crime and that little old lady had the total deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming truck look.

The antis were composed of mostly people over 55 years of age.  Very few were in the 25-45 age group.  One claimed to be a veteran, I guess he forgot why he served.

I was prepared to stand there bearing my message until they left and that group blinked long before I did.

One humerous moment came when their leader asked about restroom facilities and we told him sure they are right inside the admissions gate.  For the $6 admission fee you can go in and use them, no background check required for that.  They didn't take us up on that offer.

I was disappointed in people from our side who chose to direct verbal insults at indivuduals and made fools of themselves by doing the nazi salute.  Sorry but that won't play well on the evening news.  We did much better by taking their chants modifying them for our message and drowning them out.
Example their chant "4 3 2 1 another felon buys a gun."  Our side "another criminal stopped by a gun"
Of course the brief interview I granted them won't make the news either.  Why is that you ask?  Because I gave a direct concise and well thought out answer.  It's simple, background checks are done by all dealers at the gunshow, and all members of the club, which you must be in order to purchase a firearm at a WAC show do have a background check done through the State Patrol database.  They were protesting to change something that is already being down, they may as well protest to turn the sky from red to blue when it is already blue.

All in all I have to rate it as a draw, it seemed that they garnered more media attention, but our message was clearer and more strongly presented.

Yes that was me!  I am a star!  Although I screwed up my statement, I forgot and I know there was a break in my speech that let them cut out the first part of what I said.  I have to remember to either speak in clear sound bites or not give them spaces to edit.

I missed King5s coverage if they had it and KIRO 7 reported that Chuck never made it.  I tried calling their breaking news line for 15 minutes to correct them but I couldn't get through.
