Another year has gone by with great efforts made by the NRA on a number of fronts. We also continue to work closely with them to ensure that our community has their voice heard and that tactical rifles are discussed with extreme importance. With this in mind, each year we endorse a few candidates who we feel have a passion for the 2nd Amendment as well as a love for ARs. These candidates do not represent our committee's only choices, but the ones we feel are critical to get on the board and who may need our votes. As always everyone should do their own research and form their own choices. Our goal is to hopefully bring forth people you may not have known to be ardent supporters of our passion.
William H. "Bill" Allen ARFCOMMER, current NRA Board Member and active member of the NRA's Sport Shooting Committee which covers "Multi-Gun" shooting competitions. NRA Nominating Committee candidate. NRA Benefactor Member. Lifelong hunter, competitive shooter and 2nd Amendment activist. Holds the rank of Inspector with the largest Sheriff's Office in Tennessee. Staunch, unwavering supporter of the 2nd Amendment who works to insure that all other rights and freedoms are protected. Peter "Jay" Printz Current NRA Board Member, Chairman of the NRA's Sport Shooting Committee which covers "Multi-Gun" shooting competitions. NRA Nominating Committee candidate. Retired 26-year veteran Montana Sheriff. Successfully challenged the U.S. Supreme Court against the so-called "Brady Law" in landmark case, Printz v. United States. Ardent supporter and defender of the Constitution. Allan D. Cors Current NRA Board Member, President of the NRA Foundation. NRA Nominating Committee candidate. Professional lobbyist in Washington, D.C. who worked against the Assault Weapons Ban. Active competition shooter, hunter and avid gun collector who works to preserve 2nd Amendment rights. Board Member of the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). Chairman of the National Museum of Americans at War. William H. Dailey Current NRA Board Member, long time 2nd Amendment activist, hunter and competitive shooter. NRA Nominating Committee candidate. Harvard Law School educated attorney. Over 30 years General Counsel for Springfield Armory. Defended gun manufacturers against frivolous lawsuits. Chairman of the NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund, defending gun owners and gun clubs against malicious firearms lawsuits. Actively involved in defense of the 2nd Amendment before the Supreme Court in Parker v. District of Columbia. Traveled to Rome and Nuremberg to expose and fight United Nations gun ban scheme. Howard J. "Walt" Walter Current NRA Board Member, NRA Nominating Committee candidate. Chairman of the High Power Rifle Committee. Vietnam combat decorated Naval Aviator; headed U.S. Navy Marksmanship Training Project. Officer-in-Charge of Navy Shooting Teams. Media spokesman and debater on 2nd Amendment issues. Opposed re-authorization of the Clinton Gun Ban. NRA-ILA Election Volunteer Coordinator (EVC) and holder of 17 national shooting records. Linda Walker NRA Life Member and 2009 NRA Sybil Ludington Women's Freedom Award winner - given in recognition of legislative work, education, advocacy and upholding the ideals of the NRA. Election Volunteer Coordinator (EVC), Certified NRA Instructor, NRA Recruiter and active member of her local Friends of NRA committee. Staunch defender of the 2nd Amendment. Again, please read up on those who are running for Board positions and vote accordingly. There are others running who are also tactical friendly, but those on this list are the ones we feel will benefit most from our support. If you are a voting member of the NRA, please get your ballot in and help ensure that our voice is heard! Voting Ends April 10th, 2011!!!! |

Looks like a great list, time to start doing some homework.
Thanks GB and Staff |

excellent compilation!
now if we can just direct knuckleheads in GD that spout off about NRA BOD being a bunch of fudds to this thread! |

Thank you very much folks at AR15 for lending me your support and endorsement! I've worked hard for our Second Amendment Rights for several years and I'm not going to let up now!! I believe our Constitution should be upheld exactly as our forefathers wrote it!! And how dare any one want to trample upon our Second Amendment Rights. Without the 2nd, there wouldn't be a 1st!
I am the Central Ohio Chair of Buckeye Firearms Association. Here is a link to an article and my bio on our website, so that NRA voting members can check my extensive 2A credentials. http://www.buckeyefirearms.org/node/7660 Thanks again folks!!! Linda Walker |

Gonna go vote right now, thanks for the info all!
ETA Thanks for all your efforts Mr. Direct Action |

Waiting for my ballot... It should be in your magazine this month if you are a voting member. |
Yeah but, I get lot's of mail from them, and they call me.
Wwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa |
Bumping for more exposure. Make sure all you voting members have your voices heard, we need to ensure our interests remain at the front if/when the time comes to defend them!
They must still be mailing out the ballots, because someone I know who is a 5+ year annual member just received his yesterday, not in the magazine, but in an envelope.
I just got my ballot yesterday, and it will be on the way back in today's mail...
I just got the ballot in the mail yesterday, and haven't had a chance to read the bios yet.
But Eric Estrada? Really? I know precisely zero about his 2A views, but this surprised me. |

I got mine this week in the magazine, and the one for my son is in an envelope. I plan to get them sent out either today or tomorrow. Edit - Both filled out, will be mailed tomorrow. |

No offense to Mr. Estrada, but this could be a HUGE red flag. I do not believe that "Hollywood star" is a de-facto qualification for an NRA Board position. At a minimum, he needs to put out a statement so that we know exactly where he stands. PROVIDED his views are in line with the purpose of AR-15.com, ownership of AR15s and the 2nd Amendment, then I think Mr. Estrada COULD be quite an asset to the NRA. He is certainly well-known, he is well-liked by many (really enjoyed the show) and he could appeal to the growing Hispanic citizen community in our country (George Bush also did a good job in this area & it was a very wise move IMHO). |

Thank you for providing an endorsement. It's a good place to start.
Also, bump. |
Already mailed in my ballot, but I think I voted for most of your endorsements. I also voted for Tom Selleck. He would make an excellent high profile spokesman along the lines of Charlton Heston. A quiet dignity that would resonate well with the public.
Charles L. Cotton of Friendswood, TX is on the ballot and is a good, local guy. FYI he'd be a good guy to have on the board.

I'm gonna bump again. It's been 3 days since it was, last. Important stuff here, IMO.

Thanks for this. I am filling out my ballot today. I hope Linda Walker gets elected. She has done great work here in OH

Almost forgot. We only have till April 10th.
And oh yeah, bump. |
My wife and I both voted for all those (plus Tom Selleck, Roy Innis, R. Lee Ermey, and Erik Estrada).
