This year's board endorsements sees our own Joe DeBergalis (DirectAction) up for re-election and headlining our list.

As always, please take the time to learn about candidates on your own and vote for those you feel would best serve your interests. These candidates are black rifle supporters and have helped protect our rights and ensure tactical weapons are at the forefront of the NRA's interests. Together we have changed the mindset of what should be protected and fought for and by voting, we continue that trend. All shooters, all gun owners, all brothers in arms MUST stand united to protect each and every gun right. We must work together to not give an inch to the antis. We can't forget one group to the benefit of another, for in that choice we accept defeat, perhaps small, but still costly.

Joseph P. DeBergalis, Jr.

• Current NRA Board Member. Re-nominated by the Nominating Committee.


• Benefactor Life Member, Golden Eagle and James Madision Brigade Member.  


• In his first 3- year term, Joe was named Chairman of the NRA's Education and Training Committee and Vice Chair of it's Action Pistol Committee.  He also serves as a Committee Member of the Law Enforcement Activities and Sport Shooting (Multi-Gun) Committees.


• He is a proud Life Member of ARFCOM and serves and Site Staff and Moderator of the "NRA Activism" Thread.


• He is the Match Chairman of the highly successful AR15.com/Rockcastle Shooting Center Pro-AM 3 Gun Championship, the 3 Gun Nation Championship and the recently conducted "Rumble at the Range," the largest viewed and highest prize payout in the history of Three Gun Competition.


• He was named the NRA-ILA's "Volunteer of the Year" in 2005 and was its inaugural inductee to the NRA-ILA Grassroots Division's Election Volunteer Coordinator "Hall of Fame."


• He serves as Vice President - Operations of the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association (NYSRPA) with direct oversight of all its Shooting Disciplines.  In that role he has expanded the shooting presence of the association's involvement in the United States Military Academy at West Point's Combat Weapons Team's "Captain Andrew Houghton Memorial Two-Gun Shoot," the North Coast Shooters Association's .50 Caliber Shootouts at Fort Drum, New York, the Cowboy Action Shooting (SASS) State Championships, help start a Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association and engaged assistance for the Niagara County Federation of Sportsmen Clubs to continue their outstanding "Mobile Air Rifle Range" which provides air rifle instruction to thousands of children yearly.


• He further assisted efforts on behalf of all NRA State Affiliated Association to file an Amicus Brief in favor of McDonald v. Chicago.

As a result, Joe has been graciously been endorsed by the NYSRPA, the Virginia Shooting Sports Association, WI-FORCE (Wisconsin), the Kentucky League of Sportsmen and the South Dakota Shooting Sports Association. He is a life long Hunter, competitor and collector of all types of firearms. Joe also spearheads a long list of support activities that directly benefit all members of ARFCOM, especially those serving in our Armed Forces, in Law Enforcement or who are First Responders.  He is a true black rifle advocate and friend to all who carry, recreate or compete with our favored platform.  



Scott Bach

Current NRA Board Member and Benefactor Member of the NRA.  Currently serves as the President of the Association of the New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Association. An attorney by trade, Scott has defeated numerous gun bans despite overwhelming odds. He serves as the Chairman of the NRA's Right-to-Carry Committee and Vice Chair of its Public Affairs Committee.  He is also a Committee Member of the Executive and Legislative Policy Committees. Scott is a NRA Certified Instructor and advocate for the black rifle.  


Owen "Buz" Mills

Current NRA Board Member and President of the worls' oldest and largest privately owned firearms training facility - Gunsite Academy, Inc.  He and his company train USMC/Special Operations personnel deploying to the Middle East, Law Enforcement and civilians in tried and true methods of firearms training.  Actively supported the AR15.com/Rockcastle Shooting Center Pro-AM 3 Gun Championship and on of the original advocates of the black rifle platform.  Buz is responsible for the recruitment of thousands of new NRA members and is a major supporter of the "Friends of NRA," Scouting and veteran organizations.


Stephen Hornady

Current NRA Board Member and Benefactor Life Member of the NRA.  He is a Life Member of numerous hunting and shooting organizations and currently serves as Co-Vice Chairman of the National Shooting Sports Foundation and Board Member and former Chairman of the Sporting Arms and Manufacturer's Institute. He is a title sponsor of the AR15.com/Rockcastle Shooting Center Pro-AM 3 Gun Championship and also participated in total support of our efforts there.  He currently serves on the NRA's Hunting, Wildlife and Conservation; Legislative Policy, Membership and the Task Force on Industry Relations Committees.  He is also a Member of the NRA Foundation.


David Keene

Current President of the NRA.  He is a well-known political activist and columnist in defense of our freedoms.  A life long hunter and shooter who has worked in the White House, Congress and has fought successfully for gun owners since the seventies.  Successfully sued the Brady Campaign and was appointed delegate to the UN Small Arms Conference, where he led the fight against an international gun ban.
