Mom rescues 'Ninjas' after scare shuts down I-75

   DETROIT -- A Gaylord teen and his 20-year-old brother never imagined that dressing up in black masks and Ninja warriors costumes could lead to a brush with the law. They were wrong.
  A dozen police officers shut down Interstate 75 Wednesday night to detain them. A frightened truck driver had reported that they were waving a gun and a sword at him and looked dangerous, state police Sgt. Michael Rogers said.
  Nine state troopers and three Detroit police officers closed the freeway and pulled the would-be Ninjas in their red Ford Escort over about 8 p.m. on southbound I-75 at Mack.
  "When we conducted a full felony stop, they were in full Ninja gear," but had no real weapons, Rogers said.
  After the investigation, the 19-year-old and his brother were too upset to drive. They waited two hours in the state police lobby for their mother, who lives Downriver, to pick them up and take them and their plastic swords home. No charges were filed.

I heard that red Ford Escorts were the preferred vehicles of Mall Ninjas!

The cops shutdown an interstate to talk to a couple of kids with plastic swords?  At this rate, in 50 years, we'll call in air strikes when kids say the word bang too loudly.z
