So I have wanted an English Mastiff since I was big enough to know what a Mastiff was and why they were so special.

So we experimented with two older Mastiffs that needed good homes. They weren't what we wanted as one preferred outdoors and the other wasn't house trained but wanted to be indoors. So we thought about giving up on finding one for a while.

Then my wife found a 12 week old Male that needed a home for not much money. So she bought him for me for my anniversary/valentines day present.

So I present to you guys Soap, I am a nerd and named him after Soap MacTavish on MW2, he likes the name. I've had him for a week and he is doing great, learning that outside is the bathroom not inside.

This was right before we set out on our trip to his new home.

I got him home, it was time to put some weight on him. Please excuse the fat white belly.

Taking a nap, again excuse the belly.

And one more for posterity:

I hope to have many years with Soap as my childhood dog passed on this fall after almost 14 great years of hunting, riding four wheelers, and keeping unruly rabbits off the yard.

I'm in Cuba, MO to the guy that asked where I am.

I know I need to get him more food. Right now I'm just keeping his bowl full and he is eating. I will regulate more once he fills out. I don't want him to heavy on his growing joints, I've read that can hurt them bad later on.

I also know I need to lose some weight, I'm working on it.

Get him vet checked and wormed.
That might be why he is so skinny.
All pups need to be de-wormed along with getting their puppy shots.

He is up to date on his shots and I started
worming him yesterday.

We are going to get him fixed asap so I'll get a thorough vet check then.

At first we couldn't figure out his name....my wife wanted "Pee Wee" but I wasn't a fan. So we just kind of went with whatever came out of our mouth to see what stuck. I like Donnie(after Donnie the retard-Larry the Cable guy) because he wasn't very smart. That didn't work.

So I was playing MW2 and he was watching me play very contently.....Soap came to mind and stuck. It is simple, short, and easy to get him to understand. I don't have to go through, "Alexander the great" or any other long games. PLUS how many dogs do you know named Soap?

My gamertag on XLive is LUNYOU. I'm a simple person like that.

I'll update everyone on Soap.

He has surpassed 30lbs already, at 16 weeks old. He stands about knee high and is as long as a couch cushion. He was fully house trained in a weeks time and is starting to try to push the boundaries of what he can get away with. I took him on his first leash walks two days ago, that was fun.

My laptop died so I can't post pictures due to the pain in the butt that is iPhone picture posting. Oh and he is already a good ways through a 9-15" collar.

He sleeps alot.
