I was thinking about that one as well.  Tell us how it shoots when you get it!

Great choice from what I've heard.

About how much do those run?  I'm trying to find a decent 1911 on the cheap (<700 bucks) though that Eclipse keeps calling my name.  This looks like an OK alternative though.

Another good reason for you to buy it, and let me know if it's worth it [:D]

Actually, I've got my heart already set on it, but It'll be another month before I can afford it.

Congrats!

You wont regret it? I'm glad you didn't get a .40. I bought a Kimber Clasic custom and I'm having function problems w/ it. It's accurate as hell though and I can get it's problems fixed. You made a good choice. [pistol]

I've been dreaming of that one also.  How reflective is that stainless finish do you suppose? Is it polished or more of a satin? I've yet to get my paws on one...

I have one, great pistol. The finish is like a matte satin, not too shiny. It shoots smaller groups than any pistol I have (Sig, HK, Glock) except for my Les Baer, which is a pure target gun and not a combat type gun like the TRP.

There was a guy selling a Kimber Eclipse II at the gun show this weekend. Nice pistol.

He wanted too much for it but I am on the lookout for a good buy on one now.

The only problem I have with the Springfield 1911's is resale. I have owned two and they were the hardest guns to sell out of all I've owned. I sold a Kimber Target Elite II before I got through the door....
