I received my first custom knife today from Robert Hankins and am very impressed. The knife balances right where the fore finger rests.
The blade is made of S5 shock steel and is 1/4" thick.  Here it is next to my Kershaw/Ken Onion Vertigo (daily carry fixed blade)

I'm going to use this as my general use field knife. I like the Kukri style as it should make chopping easy.
From scales to the tip the blade measures 7.25" |

I should also mention that the scales are made of G10. Now I'm just trying to decide if I should Gun Kote it or not

Ever try to skin a deer with a huge knife? It doesn't work too well. Unless you like the smell of a freshly opened gut sack. MMMMmmmmmmm mmmmmmmm GOOOOD!!!

I gotta agree with you on that one. Majority of the time I would rather have a larger knife than a smaller one. Especially in a survival situation.
