I came home to this scene:
 Good cat! I think the brown blob is the liver or some other nasty-tasting organ. It is almost as if she arranged it--laid out nicely but with a few pieces missing. Fred |

I'm pretty sure it was one of our fat, Seattle rats. The head is the size of a 50 cent piece. They grow 'em big here--the ones in city hall are enormous! Fred |

When we had outdoors cats, and they would bring home a present (their kill), and we would throw it back outside the house, they would get PISSED. So funny. I love cats.

When I first bought this house, I was trying to have a romantic dinner with my GF. No furniture of course, so we were eating on the living room floor. Same cat saunters in and drops a wounded rat on the floor. Rat starts to run around and is chased by cat. I catch the rat and toss it out the front door. Cat gets pissed and goes and catches it again. Dumbfounded GF does not close the door so now the rat is again scampering around in the house. I catch rat again and disappear into the garage to find the hatchet. End of rat. They do seem rather proud of their accomplishments. Fred |

 ETA: a cat i had as a kid used to catch and eat big gray squirrels. he'd leave just the big old furry tails on the doorstep as a gift and eat literally everything else. LOL |
