pretty sweet. I have always loved the Regals. Had one in college with a 307. wasnt much of a hot rod though. Would love to get a Grand National some day.

Looks cool! Curious: Why no front mount inetercooler? Sleeperness or factory appearance perhaps?

Year 7 of a 1 year restoration...... After unsuccessfully trying to paint it myself, I had a real painter do it and it looks much better. Sadly the painter didn't have my other pieces ready but I got the car back so I can finally finish up the mechanics of it. It's an 84 T-type converted to an 87 drivetrain and lightly modded. It should have about 475hp in it's current configuration. It will probably take me about 3-4 weeks to get everything back together and troubleshot. I call it "Project TNX" because I am basically trying to make it seem like GM put the GNX package onto a T-type. I have a custom color GN schemed interior, made a couple one off badges for it saying "TNX" and "TNX 001" and adding the GNX flares and louvers. If all goes well in life I plan on putting the special GNX rear end on it as well, but that's down the road a little. Mods are: 204/214 cam, AFR, Walbro 340 fuel pump, hotwired, 60# inj, Razor Alcohol Injection, RJC powerplate, TA-49 turbo, Stock Location Stretched I/C, 3" downpipe & test, 2.5" Hooker exhaust, TurboTweak alky 93 chip, 2800 stall convertor, GNX fender flares and Louvers, 17" SLP ZR-1 wheels. Hopefully the bumpers, fillers, header panel, flares, etc.. are done this week or next. It's crazy that $6,000 is a cheap paint job these days. I had a long time family friend do it. I asked him what he would charge if I was a walk-in and he said $12,000. |

It was a happy day to take of those god awful wheels and those classic 15" Aqua Flows!!
What really sucks is I stalled out on this project 3 years ago, and now I can't even remember half the stuff I need to do/finish. Thankfully I bagged up all the parts with good labels. |

My second favorite car of the ones I owned was an 87 GN but if I could afford it the first I'd replace.

Properly placed pieces of sheet metal bonded to the inner door skin can eliminate the coat hanger trick. |
