Hey guys. It's been a bit since I was around.
I'm sitting at my post, sweating my butt off and online via my new air card (which is great)
I got deployed with my
company on security details in the NO area, and, am now in
MS, Bay St Louis Area.
The devastation, is well, awestrikeing. Waveland, MS is pretty much no longer existing.
The devastation can be seen at least as far north as Hattiesburg.
Boats are everywhere. Cars are all over the place, in ditches, etc. Houses have been moved and, dropped on things or just flattened.

I am presently gaurding a plant in the Port Bienville, MS industrial complex. I included some pics, but, these just don't even convey the devastation in the area.

I'm interested to go back to some threads and see what people's reactions were to the whole thing after the levee broke. The local media around here is definitly on the side of the mayor and governor, and, is painting them as heros.
I got here 1 September. I stayed in NO for a week, then, came to MS.

The front gate. If you look to the left, the storm ripped out that pole on the ground to my right.

This could have been really bad. Point of scale reference: I'm 6'1.

The main road leading into the plant. The storm bent over all the poles. The fence is about 5 metersto my right.

I'll post more as I can.

Anyone form this area on ARFCOM, my deepest sympathies are extended.

Thank you for your hard work.

As you can guess, the mayor and governor are not heros around ARF.com

I thought they probably wouldn't be. My team and I saw that turd Broussard crying on
meet the press and we all thought it reminded us of the Wayne's World II
scene where he splashes himself in the face with water to act like he's crying.
The Mayor and Broussard both did thier little speeches as we were on our way into NO from
Lafayette, and, we were all just looking at each other, about to be sick.

I was also pissed off my company wouldn't let me bring my own guns. I'm just
going to ignore them next time. We finally got out shotguns from corprate with three rounds
each of tac load 00 Buck. I looked at the corp suit giving them to me like it was a present
and said

"What are these for? Do we put them in our pockets so we don't hurt ourselves?" I'm currently not the most popular person at corp right now.

Fortunately, I scrounged the last two boxes of 00 Buck in the state of LA,
along with four boxes of slugs from the Lafayette Wally world to actually give us a chance.
of surviving a gate encounter.

One of my team was a volunteer pulling people off roofs on 8/31 and said that the downplaying of sniping was total BS. He was a Coastie in Vietnam, and, said that the only difference between NO and VN was that he couldn't shoot back.

I've spent this whole month listening to the twin turds Nagin and, Broussard, and, I am SO sick of them.
