Well, today is my birthday, (56). Sometime ago, Steyr did a DSA group buy. Got me to thinking about another FAL. Looked at several STG-58's, (DSA). Decided to get an SA-58. I chose this one, http://www.dsarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=SA58MCCM&storeid=1&image=sa58medium.gif
I found one purchased in 2000, in UNFIRED condition up in WA state, ($1050 delivered), with options, over in the EE. It arrived Tuesday. Broke it in yesterday, seems very accurate, functioned flawlessly......Ordered a set of walnut furniture for it, it'll look REAL nice in walnut.. Happy birthday to me!!! No wifey here TJ, I do recall with fondness a good birthday surprise a couple of years ago, but I've been by myself for most of my life. I can be difficult to live with, as well as not making the best choices in women. So..... Beautiful morning here on the OR coast. It's Friday, I believe I'll do some garage sales, (I'm an addict!), take off the t-tops and go....... [:D] |

yes officer, it was a black corvette, license plate # 05072, and he was swerving at people at what must have been 200mph, beer cans constantly coming out of the window, he hit 4 old ladies and a boy scout, you'd better catch him before he does something else...........[;)]
like the gun and the car though.......... |

Happy Birthday duncan! [beer]
You could not be more difficult to live with than me! [;)] I was lucky enough to have found a woman who has been trying to prove you can tame a stubborn Taurus if you try long enough! Enjoy the day![bday] TJ and I are following you in age, very closely! [:)] We are certainly, not the Pepsy generation! |

Happy Birthday Old Man!
I can say that 'cause I'm up there too. |

I recall the conflict here in USA quite well. San Francisco Love-ins, riding my M/C in the Santa Cruz mountains, after my discharge... I'm VERY grateful to God, today is today, and we are all here alive and reasonably well........ |

I put a five speed in, behind a 406, (400 block), stroker, Crane 3/4 race cam, blueprinted, balanced, yada, yada. Runs well..[:D] |

Still bet my 69 Charger will take it.[:D]
Whoops, sounded like a challenge! Ed, Speak for yourself, I like Pepsi, sadly, otherwise acurate statement. Woodstock story! Everyone our age has one. Me and the guys I played music with jump into my buds GTO and set off for Woodstock. We have a blowout in upstate NY and hear on the radio about the traffic jams. We pool our funds and buy a new tire. The whole way back we keep telling each other it was going to be big NOTHING. I guess we blew that one. BTW: To tell you the truth that was the closest I ever came to a hippie experience other than a little free love. |
