Been waiting on this! Eager to see how they fair. In accuracy the sample of one Nitride scores a point in accuracy over the chrome.

(Google searched and found nothing, call dupe if it is)

Chrome lining decreases a barrels nominal accuracy?

Did you hear that Lincoln has been assassinated, the Japanese have attacked Pearl Harbor, and men have actually landed on the moon?

I strongly believe that people overthink this.

It isn't the boogeyman many think though.  Lots of "cheaper" barrels out there giving them a bad name.

Chrome lining doesn't seem to hurt the FN SPRs or my ACC.

I watched the video, but don't know how far he's willing to go.

With 5000 rounds, is he aiming for 2500 rounds per barrel, or is he aiming for parts failure like Iraqveteran8888 goes for?  It just seemed that he didn't fully state the premise and/or procedure (other than having a goal of seeing which barrel gets 'shot out' sooner).

Should be a good show when he does it - just to watch it to see what fails if he goes that far (IIRC, it was the gas tube on Eric's AR15 torture test).  If he's only firing them for barrel changes, but not absolute failures, I'd rather watch the follow-up video on how each barrel's accuracy changed.

I have a Centurion Arms double CL 14.7 that is just as accurate as my Noveske Afghan.

I agree, which is why I used the qualifier "nominal" since the difference in accuracy is usually nominal or non existent.

What are the sample sizes?

Call me when there are 10 barrels each, shot from a mechanical rest, in controlled environment.

Nope, it was the barrel itself that failed, not the gas tube like he initially thought.

Yup.  I have a chrome lined A2 profile barreled upper and a melonite SOCOM profile upper, both 16' middy.  I shoot three inch groups @ hundred yards with both of them.
