hmm. i was gonna ask what kinda surface you had the mouse on but it ps/2 works that kinda solves that.
have you tried another usb port? do you have service pack 2 installed ? |

Actually I have not, SP2 comes preinstalled. |

I have read where people are having problems with the nvidia 91.xx drivers. i'm using 84.xx drivers myself. mmk

A hardware issue is not as likely..
One system I built many moons ago on a Shuttle AK32L mobo would run the USB mouse for about 5 min, then all USB activity would die. Put that thing through the ringer and back, finally tossed in another mobo with no problems. A friend has the Shuttle mobo and reports that it happily moves along w/o USB...he couldn't get it going either. |
