Well, this weekend I went to Mount Vernon's Fall Wine Festival & Sunset Tour with a lady friend of mine. What a great time! They had 15 Virginia wineries there for you to do a tasting, a fruit & cheese basket to enjoy, and tours of the Washington estate. We tried about 7 of the wineries before we decided to take a break and eat the fruit & cheese box to counter the alcohol. Then we toured the mansion. Very cool seeing where The Man once lived. We ran out of time to try the remaining 8 wineries, but of the ones we tried they were excellent for the most part. I love Virginia wine.

The wineries we sampled from were:

- Prince Michel
- Lake Anna
- Hill Top Berry Farm
- Tarara
- Tomahawk Mill
- Villa Appalaccia
- Oasis

My favorites was the Cranberry Table Wine from Hill Top. It was very tart, I thought it was great. I also really liked the Vidal Blanc, Apple, and Sweet Concord from Tomahawk.
