1 Really Old drivers
2 White trash methheads/Illegal aliens /hood rats in $200 car with no plates
3 16 yo girls permanently on a cell phone

the above seem to be the dominant classes of dangerous morons on the road I have run into

Any oncoming vehicle that is turning to their left across my path.

How about the guy doing 90+ in the rain in his 18 wheeler

well that  is obvious and people coming out of driveways/alleys

I try to also stereotype vehicles and take that into consideration when I try to predict what they are going to do and prioritize my threats at the time

I'd have to say the 80 year old lady who can barely see over the steering but is still talking on her cell phone.
Link Posted: 6/14/2007 10:32:38 PM EDT
People with cellphones, yacking away while not paying attention to the road ahead.

I'd have to say the 80 year old lady high on meth in a $200 POS car who can barely see over the steering but is still talking in Spanish on her cell phone.

fixed it.

They're ALL out to kill you.

Everyone is out to get you when you are on a bike.  You have no friends on the road.

People who don't stop for the flashing lights and sirens of emergency apparatus. Fucking idiots.
Link Posted: 6/14/2007 11:11:25 PM EDT
None of them.  The person that scares me the most is the retard on the motorcycle that doesn't know how to ride or rides recklessly.

There are all kinds of retards on Harleys and others cruisers.  And guess what?  There are all kinds of retards on sportbikes too.

While I was riding one day by myself, minding by own buisness, I was hit by another biker who, as I was told by an eyewitness, was traveling 120mph+.  Never saw him coming and don't remember any of it.  Ever since, I'm VERY wary of other bikes.

How about an all the above option for the poll....

I tend to agree with all the post's above mine, if I had to choose just one it would be elderly drivers followed in a close second by cell users who don't pay attention...

I have not had any trouble with other bikes...yet..

Retards on their 600cc bikes with the engine screaming at 12,000+ rpm.

SUV driving soccer mom, yakking on her cell phone, and messin' with the in car DVD player to keep her bastard children quiet. All of this while doing 80n on the freeway

What I hate is when they drive 3 feet from the back of the bike. Nothing like having 40 tons of bone crushing death just hovering behind your ass.

Woman on a cell put me in the hospital few years back when she rear ended my bike at a red light.
Link Posted: 6/15/2007 4:53:18 AM EDT
Lets not forget the retards who drive around with their dogs in the front seat/on their laps.
Link Posted: 6/15/2007 4:54:53 AM EDT
Volunteer firemen.

They are doing a great and important job, don't get me wrong- but when they put the red light on their vehicles they become temporarily insane.

The little girls with cell phones are bad, but their brothers in mommy's station wagon driving at 100+mph are worse.

Any skirt on a cell phone driving a 5500lb ExpeTahoe @ 70mph
4 feet from my rear bumper on I-5

Wiggers in fartcan Hondas are bad too.

Asian Females.

And that is not being racist or derogatory. It is simple fact, about half the time someone does something stupid on the road causing me to have to react to stop an accident, the other driver is an Asian female.

And what is really funny is a friend of mine is a Vietnamese woman, and if you asked her the same question, she would respond with the same answer.

None of the above.

In my daily commute on I-95 into Philly from the western burbs there are two catagories of drivers that I regularly see driving dangerously and who sometimes scare the bejeezus out of me.

1) White males in pick-up trucks (contractors); super aggressive, tailgating, speeding, frequently very angry (highly prone to outbursts of various kinds usually complete w/hand/finger gestures).

2) Young black males; extremely poor judgement behind the wheel, traffic weaving, speeding.

I scare me most, and I don't fall into any of those categories.
Link Posted: 6/15/2007 7:52:46 AM EDT
Ricers and anyone on a Harley newer than 5 years old.
Link Posted: 6/15/2007 7:52:50 AM EDT
I have a few things I am always looking for:
1. Old man in a hat
2. Driver leaning forward (back not touching the seat, usually with chin over steering wheel)
3. Driver's mouth open
4. Cellphone
5. Driver cant see over steering wheel
6. NJ, NY or MA plates.
7. Spinnaz/pimped out car
8. Riced Civic (especially with wing or fart can)
9. La Raza stickers, etc
10. Young black males on sport bikes (holy crap, people get retarded on the DC beltway when they're on a bike)

If I see any of the above, I get the hell outta there.

FWIW  ... I rode an MC 99% of the time for 4 years in Miami a couple decades ago.
The closest I ever came to being killed was stopped on the side of an expressway. It started raining and I slowed, pulled over, and put the sidestand down to get my raingear. I swung a leg off the bike and another "motorcyclist" passed within inches between me and the cars that were in the right lane. Mind you, I was way off to the far side of the shoulder. Just on the pavement. He  went by on the shoulder around 70 and I'm still glad I didn't take a step back.

Stay safe

I've been cut-off more by guys on phones than women.   Think salesman/businessguy/whatever in a hurry to get somewhere and talking on the phone.

Everyone is out to get you when you are on a bike.  You have no friends on the road.

Best attitude.

The worst "true accidents" that scare me are steel haulers (coils in particular as there were a slew of accidents as a kid) and a "road gator" (retread) coming off a semi at speed.

Dirtbags.  Old people and women don't try to kill me.  I have had to outrun dirtbags more than once.
