I've never had them but I've heard they're good. They're in border states but I've heard of some in Ohio. My sister and brother in law went to one when they went to Niagara Falls a few years back and they said it would be what Dunkin Donuts was if Dunkin Donuts gave a crap.

|
The coffee is great, not gourmet or anything but just damn good coffee. I have it shipped to me in Florida.

I'm not a fan of their coffee, but Tim Hortons fucking destroyed the Krispy Creme that they built up here and it close 1.5 years after it opened. Fucking sucks, their donuts were awesome. |

Funny this thread came up. They just said on the news tonight that TH is going to have a massive expansion into more US states.

The BELT (Bacon Egg Lettuce Tomato) with cheese on an onion bagel is my go to breakfast. |

Here, near Buffalo NY you can't go 50 feet without passing a Tim Hortons. The coffee is a bit too strong for my taste. If you're constipated, it will clear you up though.

Ha! Tim Hortons, CBP keeps that place in business on the Northern Border.

'round 2000 I was working near Toronto. We had a regular waitress at the restaurant we ate at. She'd never heard of Krispy Kreme. It was all Tim's, right? We took one up for her. I think she had an orgasm at the table. I don't normally drink coffee. I love me some Tim's. It always surprise people when I turn down coffee time and again, and then ask for it when someone is going to Tim's. |

Quoted: Doesn't Wendy's own them? I am not sure if they own them, but they definately have some kind of relationship as the one next to work also has a Wendy's in the same building. The drive thru situation is a little funky (they each have one) but it works. I really like Tim Horton's a lot. It is not just their coffee but they make a very good sandwich, decent soups, great selection of bagels and donuts too. Way better than a krispy kreme or a dunkin donuts IMO as far as selection. It is just an all around good concept and executed well (at least at our local one). |

Their donuts are good but a little on the small side, coffee's pretty good someof their breakfast sandwiches not so good. If there's no "Dunky Donuts" in sight it's Tim's!

- OH SNAP - I think someone just added you to a watch list somewhere.... |

Tim Horton's is the only donut place I've ever been to that serves lunch, where the lunch selections are so good you might eat there just for the lunch and not the donuts. That soup bowl, or whatever it's called (soup in a hollowed out loaf) is excellent, and they make an outstanding egg salad sandwich.

The reason that Tim Horton's burger joint went out of business is that all of his workers were trained to bitch-slap each customer after handing them their order, and tell them "here is your burger and fries,
you better enjoy them, mother fucker!" He figured this kind of "aggressive hospitality" would go over well, but it didn't. This just rubbed a lot of customers the wrong way and he went under. He adopted a much more laid back service model for this chain of donut shops. |

Specs on the 1911 please? It looks sweet! |

The chocolate dipped donuts suck in Canada. It's overly sweet. Much better in US. I also travel with my own ketchup when im in Canada, WTF do they add to it to dick it up?

In the US, ketchup is for French fries. In Canada, gravy is for French fries, hence ketchup as a condiment is strictly a backup selection and they don't worry about it's quality. . |

Many products do have country-specific formulations, and some even vary by smaller regions. |

Never heard of them. But I don't drink coffee and if I want a donut I usually will go grab some beignets instead.

Doesn't Wendy's own them? They bought Tim's a number of years ago (that's why we have so many here in Ohio), and then sold it. Good coffee. |

I like that Timmy's keeps Starbuck's honest.
It's hard for Starbucks to charge $4+ for a cup when the place next door is asking a two-fidy. Second Cup ain't too bad either. In fact, it's pretty hard to have a bad cup of coffee when it's -29. |

If there is one thing I miss here in the good ole US of A it would be Tim Horton's coffee. They also have healthier options for lunch than you would find here. Large double double please,
Also: he was a fine hockey player as well Mr. Horton |

When I was Traveling through BC and the Yukon There was a Tim Horton's in every little town. I finally gave in and stopped at one during the afternoon. The place was full. Coffee and doughnuts at 3pm? WTF
Also I found out that in BC Wheat toast is referred to as "brown" toast. I will say Prince George was full of hot women. Also as a whole people seemed much nicer in Canada than the places I've been in the US but the price of fuel there is insane. |
|
I've never had their food, or even heard of them.
Dunkin Donuts is my go-to coffee place here. Their iced coffee is all I really drink anymore. Occasionally I'll buy a bag of it from the store and bring it home but the mother figure in the household drinks it all before I get a chance. When I complain, she counters with the fact that she pays the mortgage and it's her house... can't really argue with that. Maybe I'll buy a bag and hide it in an old cereal box in the back of the pantry or something... |

Quick, everyone chatting about eating donuts, post your triglyceride level.

I had some Tim Hortons outside of Toronto a few weeks back. I like them just fine. Their coffee isn't bad, either, though I'm not a traditional "double/double" guy.
Mostly I was amazed that the cashier took USD after a minute of me digging through my pockets searching for a spare loonie. This was at least 100 k's from the border, so I was a bit surprised. A high BAC and the physics of impacting concrete killed Tim Horton. Triglycerides seem much safer. If only he'd been addicted to his tasty burgers and donuts! |

there's too many of them here in Central Ohio. Bullshit! There aren't enough. |
