So I was just thinking about this watching SNL- and Alec Baldwin is hosting. I think he's the most overrated actor that I can think of. Next I'd say Seth Rogan. He can't act, he's not smart, and he's ugly. Last, and I think people are going to disagree with me here, but I think Will Ferrel is overrated too. I find all his characters to be one dimensional and annoying.

What about you guys?

EDIT: I took out Vin Deisel, he's not that horrible...

Julia Roberts-career peaked with Pretty Woman
Gwyneth Paltrow

Overrated = Sean Penn

He has a look on his face like he's trying to shit a turd the size of a watermelon all the time.

Nicolas Cage. The guy has no range at all. None.

Lots of over rated ones.

But one I find to be way under rated is John Lithgow.

I forgot about Julia Roberts and you are right. I have a hard time even watching something she's in now. she's actually kinda ugly, and she can't act that well.

I suppose, but what has he really been in since the matrix? I think he's on the out and out. Especially after the 3rd movie bombed.

Adam Sandler and Renee Zellweger. Both annoy me.

+1 on Christian Bale. He is so cardboard-like in everything he's in.

Nicolas Cage is my nemesis, except for Lord of War, but that basically makes up for Conair. One of the worst accents ever in that movie. Quit hating on Will, he might not be every ones cup of tea, but he can play a bunch of different characters, just watch Eastbound and Down and Anchorman, Wedding Crashers, and Old School. Anyone that doesn't like Old School is no friend of mine.

Street Kings

I liked street kings. As long as they only cast reeves as the one character he plays well, he does fine.

As for the Matrix trilogy, well, I don't think it was ever really meant to be a trilogy.
They just threw a continuation together to make some money. The ending of Matrix 1 was all we needed. Neo could fly. We knew the machines were fucked.

How about we list those that CAN act? Hugh Laurie (Dr. Greg House) for one.

Will Smith and Robert Redford - both must have gone to the same acting school that told them "play the same character in every movie - no one will notice"

I was wondering if I would get to the bottom of the page and not see his name on the list.

Jeff Goldblum
Will Ferrell
Jim Carey
Nicolas Cage

These in any order.

I don't recall ever even having cracked a smile at an Adam Sandler joke. How anyone thinks that idiot is funny is beyond me.

I like Alec Baldwin as an actor. It's a human I dislike him as. I'd punch him in the mouth in person after I shook his hand.

in fact, I completely disagree with the OP. Vin Diesel is awful with his gay lisp and fairy smile.

Bob Saget

In a word... LAME!

Jeff Goldblum's best line ever was in Death Wish...something like

"Goddamn Rich Cunts, I Kill Rich Cunts!"

Found it....

I've never seen Eastbound or Down, but Ancorman, Wedding Crashers, and Old School, and Blades of Glory, and SNL, and EVERY FUCKING WILL FERRELL MOVIE has the same character.

Will Ferrell sucks.

Seems to me that most actors that are widely known do their job pretty well. Most are pretty good at choosing which roles to play that are within their limits.

You guys realized he's written and/or produced all of the movies he's been in the last few years right? Part of the reason "they" keep putting him in movies is his movies make money.
