I am, wife has big problem with me and new boss does too.

I wake up like this> Coffee makes me worse.

I told them to drink more coffee in the am.

I hear the Rooster a half mile away in the morning and love it. Jump right outta bed ready to rumble. In bed by 9:30 every night.

Discuss for fun.

No.  Absolutely not.

I hate mornings.

If it were up to me, I'd never be awake before 10 AM.

Oh, I've been threatened by the wife and other morning person haters too.

I'm at work 6:30 am. to start by 7:00 am. Boss tells me he doesn't get going until 9:00 pm. I told him he needed to change his hours to 9 to 5. Another threat.

Depends on what I am getting up for. If I get up for shooting them I am ready to go. If it is for work then I drag a little.

Define morning.

My internal body clock naturally works on about a 26 hour day.  That's to say that if I didn't have to get up for work, I'd be up for 16-18 hours, and sleep for 8-10.  So "morning" to me is when i get up.  Whether that's 4AM or 4PM, I'm ready to go.

Not.  The day doesn't dare get started fully until about 9AM.

No morning person here, I work midnights & love it! The only bad thing about my work is in the summer time (when business is slow) there is only one shift, mornings. My attitude sucks, or so I have been told from supervisors, who I never see working midnights. They say I'm like a walking timebomb, never know when I'm gonna go off on someone!

I can't wait for Oct. 1, going back to my happy spot, midnights!

Not a morning person.  If I absolutely have to wake up early for work, so be it.  But I'd much prefer to sleep in and work later in the day.

In the summer, I like getting up early.

In the dark days of winter, I'll stay in bed if given a choice.

The dark dreary days are the only days that really get me down. Rainy days are the worst, not a drizzly rain but the rain all day type kill my get up and go.

Even the Folgers Dark Roast don't help.

NO!

Its 2am here and Im still up. I have to be up by 6AM. For the life of me I cannot ever go to bed before 10pm unless Im just beat the hell down. If I could I would wake up no earlier than 9-10AM and go to bed around 1-2AM. Weekends I like to stay up until 4-5AM and wake up around noonish.

My shift is from 7AM-3PM. I wish I was on the 3-11 shift. I could stay up into the night and still be able to get plenty of sleep!

Hell no, I am useless for anything requiring concious thought before 1000.  The only exception is when I am camping and hiking, I get good and worn out and hit the hay at 2100-2200 so I am up and ready to rock with the sun.  Thank God for the .mil I have been fortunate enough to work nights for at least 12 of the 13 years I've been in.

11 years in the Military and now I can't sleep past 0700, even on the weekends.

I like mornings, especially my days off when I can crack my first beer at dawn. It just tastes better when you can watch the sun come up.

My wife has always been amazed at how I can get up at 0400 in the morning after going to bed at midnight if I'm going fishing or shooting.

It's almost like hangovers don't happen when the salmon are running.

But up this morning at 5-00am to do 100 mile drive for a match.  Only up early to go shooting or early holiday flights.  It's now 11-25pm here in the UK but this forum is so damned addictive

I welcome the darkness.

I HATE getting up at 5:30 or 6:00 like I used to for work, though that wasn't every day. My problem is that I can't sleep early unless I am just dead tired. Usually I go to bed around 1:00 and then toss and turn, think about things, then finally actually sleep around 2:00 or later.

I used to work mornings, now I work 3:00 to 11:00 which isn't so bad, but I also do end up sleeping in. I usually wake up around 11:00 and I'm groggy and lethargic until I get to work. The weekends are the same, for the most part. Sleep late, wake up late, most of the useful part of the day is gone. My eating patterns have changed too, which is why I think I'm so lethargic lately.

Up at 4:40 a.m. and out the door by 5:00a.m. I love mornings especially if it is cold. The morning is like bad weather, it weeds out the weak. While all the afternoon tough  guys are rolling outa bed, I've been busy for a couple of hours. On the other hand, I cant stand afternoons or night hours between 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.Trashcan

I'm up and moving around by 0330 most weekdays, that's 3:30 AM National Guard time.  By 0500 I have already attended my daily duty brief and started to drag trainees around the PT field.

I usually get to bed by 2200... 10 o'clock at night, about an hour after I get off work.

Just because I get up that early doesn't mean that I like to... the privates I train are convinced that I'm off some sort of anti-psychotic medication.

I am up by 5:00 AM without an alarm.  If I ever fail to get up, the dogs will get me up before 5:30.

I love being outside in the crisp cool morning air(especially in the fall) when everyone else is sleeping.

I'm up and out of bed at 4:30AM every day of the week without an alarm clock. I hose off the patio and water the plants in my underwear @ 4:45AM. (Sometimes I piss in the yard with the dogs. It's a bonding thing you know)

I generally work at least a 13 hour day 6 days a week.

I wake up on my days off in a panic about 6:30 a.m. because I'm so worried about work.

that is all...

I normally don't wake up until after 3pm. Granted, I work 6pm to 6am, so you could say i'm a bit of a night owl. I hate being on off time, having to switch over to being  a daywalker. I prefer nights.

I have always been a night person. The only time that I like mornings is when I am on the river camping. And when I say morning, I mean that I can see without artificial light. If the sky isn't at least a pale blue, it is still night time!

I am fortunate that my working hours are evening/night hours. I roll out of the rack whenever I feel like it. Usually around 1030 or so.

I suspect that a reasonably talented lawyer could succesfully mount a "he was a morning person" defense in a murder trial.

It would be in the same class as the "he needed killin'" defense.

Morning person?  Hell no.

I work until 11pm, come home, fart around, play some BF2... hit the sack around 2am.  I MIGHT fall asleep by about 4am... then for some reason I wake up around 6-6:30ish.  Fall asleep again by 7:30ish, and finally drag my ass out of bed at about 11 or 11:30.   THEN I have some coffee.

That's funny, I was thinking the same thing.

Note to morning people: Lay low and know what type of people you are around early in the morning.

Night owl here.  It is rare for me to be in bed before 12AM, even more rare for me to be up before 8 or 9 AM.

Thank goodness for working nights.
