Is it possible to actually take a beagle on a walk?  Our seven month old beagle likes to walk ten yards and then stop for ten minutes and smell where some other dog shit or pissed.  To get her to move, I literally have to jerk her or drag her away.  It is utterly miserable for me.  Is this a result of her being seven months old, or a beagle, or both?  What can I do to motivate her to actually walk?  I'm about ready to say screw it and just tether her up to a ground stake in the backyard for a few hours in the afternoon.  Thanks for any insight.
