Browsing though my LGS selection...its a bigger outdoor store (not a major chain), with a gun section.
Over heard another customer asking about the guns with threaded barrels. Clerk: those are for suppressors. Customer: you sell them? Are they legal? Clerk: yes they are legal, but you need a class 3 license, and the ATF can come to your house at any time. Then the clerk continued to tell the customer about making suppressors out of oil filters, pop bottles and potatoes. 
I though about stepping in and setting them both straight, but the customer looked like a major neck beard and the clerk was so deep into his BS I figured it would be a waste of time. |

The customer really has to bit of research on their end as well. I really take some of the advice I get at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. with a grain of salt as well. Sometimes they hire who they can get. Just the way it is. |
