Well, it's certainly entertaining!



A bit on the weird side, for sure, but entertaining.



I note that they do close the gate just after a handshake.   Nice to see that they make a show of civility even if they aren't exactly the best of friends.

why not take the time to train them on how to kill the enemy better, instead of do a fancy walk.dance...
just strut down there like a badass who just gone done training for a few hours every day, to better destroy ones enemies.

Looks like an over the top parody of British military drill.  Wonder if that's how it evolved?  Each side basing their drill on British military custom, but each trying to one up the other.

Some cultures take ceremony very seriously.   We do too.  Does the Tomb of the Unknown Solder require a ceremonial guard?  No, but we believe it's warranted.
