Moose Lands In Front Seat Of Car

(AP) LEOMINSTER, Mass. A 500-pound moose crashed through the windshield of a car late Thursday and ended up sitting in the passenger seat with its head sticking through the glass.

Emergency personnel had to cut the roof off the car to extricate the moose, which was later euthanized by state environmental police because of severe injuries, police Lt. Raymond Booth said.

The driver, Juleigh McDowell, 30, was able to get out of the car under her own power and escaped serious injury, police said.

Police in Leominster, a city of about 38,000 residents about 40 miles west of Boston, had received reports of a moose in the area earlier Thursday evening, Booth said.

McDowell was simply driving along Route 12 at about 11 p.m. Thursday when the moose crossed her path, he said.

She is lucky to be alive...a matter of inches and she'd have been crushed to death.

What is the plural form of "moose"?  Is it "moose", "mooses", or per chance, could it be "meeses"?

I looked it up at m-w.com and it's indeed moose.

I had no idea that we had a member here named "Moose."  I of course meant the animal moose not the ARFCOMMER

I hit a moose a couple months ago north of Talkeetna , and the food bank folks were there 10 minutes after being called by the trooper.  Faster than home delivered pizza.

While I was in the car, the driver explained that she saw me in the road and instantly thought "Yeah, I'd hit it..."

The DC "snipers" have given me a pretty thick skin about moose insults...

I have some ground moose thawing in the fridge right now.  I'm going to make meatballs with them tomorrow.  NH has a nice moose population.

I am proud to say that my cock weighs more than 500 pounds.  No shame in it
