Had one for the first time this past week while on vacation. Pretty tasty. Earnest Hemmingway used to drink them, so I figured it was manly enough, but thought I would ask here. ![]() |

If they are good they are awesome. If they aren't great they usually suck ass.

My favorite drink. Had my first one in La Bodeguita del Medio where they were invented and where Hemingway hung out. Every mojito since then has not been as good, and there can be some crappy ones in the US, but still my favorite.

If made properly, good. Mixed from some store bought jug... ghey.

OP!
In the chance you do not have a muddler, and in the great ARFcom spirit that got me my team membership, PM me if you want one. |

Tasty on a hot summer day.
Only enjoyment from homosexual sex makes you gay. |
|
Had a few and I love them. Although I am a pure beer man so that would be my prefered drink.

Since it became hip to drink them there's been a huge influx of shit ass Mojitos. I just gave up on finding good ones so i voted no. Thankfully it's unlikely they will ever air a commercial with people dancing after drinking scotch so my drink of choice is safe.

If you use fresh ingredients, they are awesome.
If you use a crappy "mix" then they are just ok. |
|
I have to say, the first time I had one was at the Bacardi factory in Puerto Rico. So I was a little spoiled, since they make a mighty tasty Mojito. So drink up, I say!

Delicious! I don't go out of my way to order them but when I'm in the mood I'll drink them.
There is a bar that I used to go to in Houston that had frozen mojitos and those were good as well. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Made by a good bartender they are very refreshing and tasty. Not gay.

I like em. Some people like them with a splash of sour mix –– gives them more of a tart flavor rather than sweet, but straight mojitos aren't typically that sweet anyway.
Drink what ya like. |
|
Very trendy. The gays love them.
Congratulations, you've opened a new door. |

Congratulations, you've opened a new door. ![]() Funny thing is I was reading a book of collected columns by Robert Ruark including a couple about Hemingway and heard a lecture on rum's impact on the Caribbean economy that touched on the history of rum and various drinks so I ordered one. |

They are freaking delicious. Quite refreshing, as is a good gin and tonic.

Yeah, my first thought was "I don't know that I would use Ernest Hemingway as my 'touchstone' for good decision making." ![]() |

My favorite summertime drink. The wife makes killer ones at home.
|
|
If they cause you to have sex with other men, then they might be gay. I, for one, have never had that side effect from a nice, refreshing mojito, though, so if you're letting dudes probe your porthole after drinking a couple, it's probably just you.

as a bartender i hate making those damn things. the mint wilts quick, uses a whole lime usually including garnish, the mint fucks up my triple sinks, have to muddle, etc. unfortunately i don't get paid for my opinion, so i make em. the women love them

|
Tasty drink if made well. They're great to enjoy on warm summer evenings. As are Caipirinhas.
