MILWAUKEE -- A missing boy has been found in Phoenix with a man wanted on a child sex charge.

Justin Terlecki, 13, apparently took a bus to Arizona from his home in Milwaukee at the urging of a man he met online.

Investigators tracked an e-mail address to the apartment of 32-year-old Vernon Monk and officers were waiting when he and the boy drove up.

Phoenix police said Monk was arrested for investigation of custodial interference and failure to register in Arizona as a sex offender. They said the man also is wanted on an Oklahoma warrant for a sexual offense against a minor.

The boy's mother said he'd been communicating with adults on the Internet despite safeguards and blocks she put on his computer.


Why are child molesters allowed to walk out of prison without a tracking chip implanted in their heads, or better yet a 9mm hollowpoint?

With high recidivism rates its a no brainer they'll do it again, and again, until you put them out of their misery. I hear almost nothing advocating tougher sentences on child molesters from the right or the left. God forbid a child's father extract revenge, he would be broght down by the government with ten times the effort they spent convicting the molester in the first place.

Actually this is true.

It's kinda like guys who are arrested with an "arsenal of assault weapons, illegal machine guns and grenades."

In "some" cases it really is just that. Some gang banger type with all kinds of illegal hardware ready to go on a crime spree.

But sometimes it is just a guy who has a few SKS rifles, a semi Mac 10 and some dummy grenades who got arrested on a made up story about domestic battery.

By the same token some child molestors really are the predatory shitbags like in the story above and those who kidnap, rape and kill young children.

But there are also some who are gonna be the 18 to 19 year olds with underage girlfiriends or guys who boinked some chick who looked and acted as old as she claimed to be.

And the media has no qualms about putting them all in the same category.

Kid said he knew the guy was a convicted offender because he told him as much during their first conversation.  Kid also claims that the sick-o didn't make any moves on him.

In AZ the pervs are labelled as "high-risk", "medium-risk" or "low-risk" depending on the severity of their crime and behaviors and risk of recitivism.

I'd be willing to be that no "high-risk" sex offender was ever labelled as such merely because they were just some 18yo kid who got caught having consensual sex with an "almost-legal" fuckbunny.
