I hope so. After spending almost $600 on my snowblower the thing is just sitting in my garage doing nothing...

i agree.  i also got a new one this year and have been very disappointed in the lack of snow.  An unused snowthrower is a useless snowthrower.

Not all of them. I hate winter, and wish congress would outlaw all snow except for a period between thanksgiving and new years.

You think that's bad. I have only 400 miles on my 2 year old $7500 sled!!! For all those miles I had to drive to another time zone to use it.

Since I moved to Minnesnowta in 93' I have yet to see a world class dump.
I have however finally frozen my ass off.

Hey everyone- Im in Inver Grove Heights MN here- which city are you all from ?

i could care less if we get snow, i do tree removal for a living so the faster the ground dries up the easier work is in the spring.

as for snowblowers and snowmobiles... i sold my Polaris 500 a few years ago, probably the dumbest thing ive ever bought and the smartest thing ive ever sold.  I now use my 2003 Yamaha Grizzly 660 w/27" mud tires to plow my driveway

stay warm

I'll take your yankee, and add that I'm part "damn Irish".

Now gimme some snow.  Winter without snow is like......uh.........camping without swimming or boating.  Or something.  Without water.  Yeah.

How about the 24" that hit last March in So. MN in 24 hours?

Not world class?  It was a 24 hour record in Rochester IIRC.

Ill take it! Snow days are days I get the range all to my self, Nothing quite as peacful as hunting in a slow snow but with nothing to hunt, Ill take the range time.

This 24 inch snow fall hit Byron, and Salem on the first day of Spring, March 2005.
I remember it well. I drove home at 6am, and was breaking through snow drifts even with the hood of my Chevy 4x4.

2" of snow at a time is fine with me.  12" of blowing snow is no fun out in rural MN.  We still have snow on the ground here.

I'm west central, and I don't think we're supposed to get much.  It's mostly south, I think.

I grew up in Minnesota and the "real thing" (snow and high winds) are pretty dangerous.  Lots of people used to die especially in rural areas.  I have been on the road one time in a white out and it's frightening.
