Are there any disadvantages to them?

Aviator has one. Ask him where he got it. There are three salvage yards around here that specialize in military equipment. I imagine places like them are pretty common. Arizona has a lot of military bases, that means a lot of military surplus equipment.

Got one and love it. Just got in from re painting it actually. This is from a month ago or so I LOVE it. Pulls nice, can load it up big time. I know of a place in Canada N of Seattle that is selling new ones for $800. Aviator

OK took some new photos today. This is the front view. Notice the hand brake and the "pintle" Hitch. I had to have a pintle welded to a normal receiver, but I thought it was worth it for the articulation when pulling the trailer off road. I also left the original Wire harness hooked up to not devalue the trailer for a collector Back view. I Spliced normal 4 pin trailer wiring into the tail lights. Although the lenses are small the lights are very bright. The inside. I had to sand blast the floor after I first bought it due to some rust. After getting it cleaned up, I painted the inside then painted on some bed liner. The trailers will float (amphibious). They have a solid box, with no tailgate, but they do have two drain plugs in the corners (left front and right rear). I just yesterday touched up the paint. I bought a bunch of Krylon camo spray paint when I first bought it and just tough it up now and then. Aviator
