Clean and lube your AR properly before leaving - the jungle enviroment can wreck havoc. Go chrome or stay home!

Nationa'l Beer is kinda good. Use a lime in it. It's a third world sh*thole so don't expect too much, unless you're going to some kind of resort on the coast. I spent two weeks in the mountains in '89 building a farm-to-market road through the National Guard. Interesting to say the least.

You didn't say whether this was business, pleasure ?), or TDY. Don't look like a tourist. Stay in the background. Don't be the Ugly American. Don't carry all your $$$ in one pocket. You know, the usual stuff like if you're visiting Washington DC.

Depending on where you're going take a poncho. It rained everyday I was there Aug-Sep '89. Hang your stuff from the tent post so it doesn't get wet when the water runs through the tent. Carry an extra pair of boots. Eddie

Hopefull I wont have to live in a tent. We will be guests of the military if it happens. They want us to come down and jump into some airshow. Should I ask the colonel for a sidearm and paperwork?

Look up my friend Carlos Ulloa and his family. Tell them you know me (IM me for my name) and they will treat you well. Carlos lives here but will be going to there to see his Mother and do some missionary work.
