What the heck, didnt they start selling them like 24 hours ago? Do you live in their parking lot lol?

I would suggest anyone who bought one of these go here and sign up.
http://www.uscarbinecal30.com/forum/forums.html They take awhile to approve accounts, but the real experts hang out there. Some of the early feature bits on these carbines bring $$$, so do some research before you start taking stuff off and dumping "upgrading" them. Also be aware that there are probably a lot more fake parts out there for sale than there are genuine parts (flip sights for one) so be careful buying "correct" parts if you want to go that direction with your carbine. |

View Quote They went on sale at 800 a.m. CST, I checked at 1055 a.m. CST and they were sold out, with a smattering of returns to stock due to ordering errors, etc. through the day, but it was over and done completely by late afternoon. They had imported 3120. Makes me wonder if that wasn't some sort of on-line sales record. I'd imagine they were all boxed and ready to ship when they went on sale. |

Museum quality!
I’m looking forward to living vicariously through this pic thread. |

Quoted: I just picked mine up, very good to fine Winchester. Push button safety, type 1 barrel band, flat bolt, early handguard, etc. I am very happy. I’m kind of a noob, anything else you guys can tell me about it? so no Bayonet lugs on these Carbines?
I say that as a good thing. |

I wish I lived in America. The M1 Carbine is one of my grail guns but they're verboten in the prnj for some stupid reason.

Quoted: The ones with the lugs sold out very quickly, I’m guessing there weren’t that many. View Quote G-VG Winchester. Have not taken it apart yet. 1944 5,6xx,xxx production S-HB stock. JAO rear sight. Attached File |

The stocks look especially good.
I hope my G-VG gets here soon and looks as good. Although I'm most worried about the bore. |

NJ banned them because of a Arsenal robbery, look it up.
No Bayo lug makes the carbine NY legal. pretty much just a larger caliber 10/22 |

But like I said, they were banned for some stupid reason. |

I'm jealous. I went through IBM after IBM in my cart and each one was gone by the time I finished checking out. Oh well.

Mine is a G-VG Winchester. 1.14million serial so it's 1942. Looks all correct early Winchester except for the stock and rear sight. Pushbutton safety and type 1 barrel band. Has a type 2 dogleg hammer! The stock is a high wood inland with damage around oval cutout. Bore looks fine but gun hasn't been cleaned since it was last used. No pitting anywhere. Great patina.
Overall I'm very happy. More so than I've ever been with the CMP mixmasters! Attached File Attached File |
