on a No-Ban, can you mount a bayonet on a mid length upper?

Steve at ADCO is the mid length man.

Yep. He did a regular carbine for me last month. I am thinking about a mid length free floated Hbar on an A4 upper topped with a TA11 as my next project for Steve.

what gas system do these use? Is it a carbine length under the handguard or a midlenght tube? Armalite has a section on gas systems stating that the carbine length gas tube is a serious problem with reliability, I've noticed that my 20" has always been more reliable than 16s for me. I really want a midlength but hope the gas tube is specific and not a short carbine tube.

When people refer to "midlength" uppers, they are talking about the medium length gas system. These uppers almost always have 16" barrels because if you go longer, you can use a rifle-length gas system.

I was curious about that, I was wondering if just the FSB was moved forward a bit and a carbine length gas block was hidden under the handguards. Basically I was ensureing it was a true mid length and not just for longer sight radius and cosmetic differences.

How much weight does that setup add? I'm getting tired of lugging my 20" Hbar around.

How come this design has not been picked up by the military if it is more reliable?

Notice the military has no 16" uppers (as general issue anyway). Does the midlength gas system even run a 14.5" barrel?

It looks like the true RECCE's have a carbine gas system?

I was afraid of that.
It seems to be the best Front loader going.
Do you use Pals pouches inside as well?

They're nice to have, but so far, I just toss in smaller cargo bags.
