Excellent article. Complete with photographs, that's one of the best reports I've ever seen come out of Iraq.

I know of one Silver Star awarded in Mosul for almost excactly the same scenario, given Kurilla's history there and what little I know of the man from personal experience, I'll be astonished if one isn't forthcoming.

I think a Bronze/V for the CSM as well. Not often you'll find Sergeants Major charging into hand-to-hand.
