I guess I am SOL
|
|
Fuck... I fly with guns from time to time and I've always been afraid that was going to happen.
So did they do it on accident or on purpose? |

Post is full of amazing details. Yes, I am just overwhelmed trying to process the details. |

Why is there a trend among Arfcom that involves posting a very serious story, yet leaving out every single thing that might be considered helpful and beneficial? Seriously OP, WTF? Either give us the story or don't post.

The OP is a veritable fountain of meticulously reported, exquisite detail.

If it makes you feel any better, they sent mine to Los Angeles, even though I went to Portland.

I'm having a hard time. Nearly the whole thing. Pancake bunny.

Vague gun confiscation/theft/lost at airport is the new boating accident.......c'mon guys get with it.
|

I flew from BWI to Minneapolis, by way of ATL. Had to put up with AAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL kinds of bullshit to fly with a gun. Missed our plane in Atlanta. I got customer service to contact the MSP airport to lock my bags up and they agreed that it would be, gave me a contact number, location, etc, where it would be put in the cage.
Finally got to MSP 8 hours later and there was my bag containg my gun just sitting in the hallway, 10 feet from the exit. Not a soul around. |

I am flying there in a couple hours...want me to look around?

GD has become like the tabloid papers in the supermarkets. Everyone thinks its cute or funny to post a sensational or outrageous "headline" to draw people in, only to be let down after reading it.
If someone has something to say or post, just say it. I know, you won't be one of the "cool" guys or your thread won't be "epic". This is not necessarily directed at the OP, just an observation after being here a while. |

checked my bags and cases through San Antonino where the TSA agent was outstanding and had me watch the entire operation and he had me secure them with my non TSA locks. they get all the way to Miami International and then they somehow decided not to put them on the plane to fort myers. Now ordinarily I would not be overly concerned but we keep reading about all the luggage thefts in Miami airport. Stealing luggage at MIA is a sport over there

Fuck... I fly with guns from time to time and I've always been afraid that was going to happen. When ever I travel (which is usually weekly), I have a firearm in checked baggage (unless I'm traveling somewhere that doesn't recognize my CCW, like today - NY) Twice in the last year I've had my bag miss the flight that I made. In each case, I got it back 1 or 2 days later, with everything still present inside. |

Post is full of amazing details. Could you summarize it for me? It's a bit too long to read ETA: WAY too late with my lame joke, already covered by several posters |

I hate boring ARFCOM with details its sucks up all their brain cells So instead we get to be bored with 3 dozen "Where's the details" posts in your lame thread. Great logic. I hope you get your guns back, but if you provided the airport with as much detail about your bags as you did here about the story, methinks you are truly SOL. |

Did the TSA confiscate it or did the airline just put it on the conveyor belt for passenger pickup? Still not enough detail. |
