All of my guys are from India...
They're some of the kindest and hardest working people I've ever met. The bust their asses for about $2.50/hour and don't complain much... Once in a while, I go to where they live to keep an eye on their living conditions(we hire them through a sub-contractor who provides them with food & housing...sometimes the sub-contractor doesn't keep up the place, so we check once in a while and make sure things are staying decent for our guys...), when I get there, I can't stand up...they have me sit in a comfortable chair and they always bring me something to drink...usually a cup of tea with a mint leaf floating in it. They are always offering to share their food with me... They don't have much yet the are willing to share what they have with anyone. Wow...I guess these guys practice the true meaning of Christmas every day... I'm lucky to have such a great group of folks to work with... |
